Our Women’s Spirituality Group meets every other Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m. to discuss the latest book that they are reading. Women’s spirituality differs from that of men. And the church, as a patriarchal institution, has not sufficiently addressed women’s spiritual needs. The books the group has read have included topics such as women in leadership for spiritual transformation, the history of God and Goddess, women’s spirituality, the Gospel of Mary, chakras, and many others. The intent is to be an empowering place for women to find their voice and themselves.
Currently, the group is discussing Active Hope: How to Face the Mess We're in with Unexpected Resilience & Creative Power, by Joanna Macy and Chris Johnston. The goal of this book is to help us strengthen our capacity to handle the crises in this world.
