Sacred Journeys Spiritual Community is committed to giving 10% of our gross income back to the local community and the world. In 2019, Sacred Journeys gave over $12,000 back into the community. Over the years we have supported many worthwhile causes and outreach programs including the following:
- Bethany Apartments – transitional housing for women and children suffering from domestic abuse
- Careers, Inc. – enriches the lives of people with disabilities through work, care and community
- The Eco-Justice Center – an environmental education center
- First Step Homeless Shelter in Kenosha
- George Bray Neighborhood Center
- Habitat for Humanity - helping build homes for those in need.
- HALO (Homeless Assistance Leadership Organization) – a shelter and a place to help the homeless achieve self-sufficiency
- HOPES Center – offers counseling, case management and healing arts services to Racine’s homeless and mentally ill free of charge
- The Hospitality Center – Racine’s largest meal program and hospitality without agenda
- Interfaith Community for Detained Immigrants - supporting immigrants in detention centers, children's centers, immigration court, deportation and post-detention.
- NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness – Racine) – works to improve the quality of life for all individuals affected by mental illness, through support, education, and advocacy
- Progressive Christianity – support and resources for progressive Christians
- Racine Country Food Bank – distribution of food and necessities to Racine County individuals and families in need
- Racine Healthcare Network – provides free or low-cost health care to residents of Racine County who are medically uninsured, or medically insured with no dental coverage, and have limited income
- Fight to End Exploitation – works to prevent conditions that foster human trafficking in Racine County through education, specialized training and outreach efforts
- Racine Interfaith Coalition – promotes social justice through training and empowerment of people of faith.
- Racine Literacy Council – provides adult literacy programs and works to bring awareness of the importance of literacy
- Racine Vocational Ministry – helps participants: become productive, self-sufficient workers trained for appropriate careers; retain jobs through monitoring and follow-up; address negatives in their lives that impede their careers (including drugs and alcohol, homelessness and emotional health problems).
- Safe Haven- is a multi-cultural community based residential shelter for youth through age 17 in need of emergency shelter due to runaway behaviors and homelessness.
- Women’s Resource Center of Racine – domestic abuse shelter for women and children
